Compliance
The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) is committed to creating a safe environment where the well-being of all students, faculty, and staff is of greatest importance. We care deeply about our students and strive to ensure quality learning experiences for our UAF community and its guests. We strive to increase community awareness about the risk of campus crime through crime prevention services, tips, and alerts and to generate a sense of personal responsibility in each individual to prevent or reduce criminal opportunities.
Compliance team
Our Compliance Team will ensure university efforts are in line with the Board of Regents’ policy, state law, and federal law. Areas of compliance efforts will include Title IX, Title VII, the Clery Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act. This team will provide regular training for students, staff, and faculty so they feel adequately prepared to respond to compliance challenges.
